Database Driven/CMS Websites |
|
CMS stands for Content Management System. Put simply, it's a type of website that is designed to display lots of different pieces of information. It runs off a built in database. If you've seen or heard of php or MySQL, it will have been in reference to a CMS. In a CMS site, content items are entered, posted and edited as required via an administration back-end that is not viewable to the public. CMS sites typically have a search facility built in, and can also have other features such as user logins, online shops and much more. This type of site is the one most suited to businesses that need to upload and edit information often. |
